fotografia...
In a day there is always a moment huge or infinitesimal that will make us smile... Just looking for this instant and taking a picture...
Souvent en francais (où je suis née), quelquefois en Italien (où j'aimerais vivre) ou alors en anglais (où je vis)...
from my window, I can hear the silence, I can feel the sun, I can smell the water... The only thing I can not hear, not feel, not smell are my two little
ones...
20 days that we arrived... 20 days of inextricable administrative procedures (social security, insurance, various registration, recovery of 1, over the 6, UPS packages sent from the US 2 weeks ago, waiting at the airport for "we are not sure which"
documents...). But most of all 20 days trying to find an appartement... I was kind of picky at the begining, the main criteria for me beeing close to school to avoid traffic jam. We found the
perfect one, but our folder was rejected because we did not pay any taxes in 2007 in France (does not matter that I pay "golden bolw" in switzerland)... It makes us realized how life must
be tought for people in a difficult situation and who are just coming out of a difficult situation. We realized how shity the french system can be! To summarize, it does not matter how much
monney you earn, it does not matter that you have a CDI (permanernt contract)... If you are a young working person just starting a new job, no appartement! If you were unemployed for a while, no
appartement! If you were a single mother who stop working for a couple of year, no appartement! If you are a foreigner starting a job in france, no appartement! It looks like the system is made
to keep your head under the water even if you managed to put it out for a while. Fortunatly, not all real estate officeask for this specific paper, fortunatly we do not have a foreigner name (well kind of) fortunatly we have an acceptable salary... Fortunatly for us, we are privileged...
Fortunatly for us we have a Mouton Jr... and if you don't want to be in trouble with Mouton jr, gimme a house!
Voila notre aventure américaine prend fin ici! Je n'arrive même pas à écrire de mots tellement les sentiments sont
confus! Good Mood in US est desormais une catégorie ou l'on peut écrire le mot fin!
I do not find the words my friends! I can not chose one picture there is so much. I can not pick up one souvenir, I have so many in my head! I can only tell you that we will miss you so much.
You know that you all have a house in south of France. Hope to see y'allpretty soon.
With all our love
Choupinou, Mouton Jr, Dr Mouton and Bergere
We just spent a beautiful day, a beautiful sunny sunday. It started with a brunch at the Watershed. Chef Scot
Peacock was even here to welcome us. A present from L and C, C who every sunday for 2 years coocked for us special meals. Every sunday afternoon, he will spend hours in his kitchen to prepare
wonderful southern meals, just for us... We decided to keep this tradition, and when we will return to Toulouse, we will cook at least once a month southern meals, that we will share with
family and friends, now that we have the magic book of southern cook (and signed by one of the author)... And that was
just the begining of our day...
Je sais! Une fois de plus j'ai été extraordinaire en t'offrant le cadeau dont tu
rêvais depuis des années mais auquel tu ne t'attendais pas! Prends en de la graine!!!!
Comment taire?
